Ms. E. Rebecca Case is board certified by the American Board of Certification (ABC) in both business and consumer bankruptcy and, for the past 27 years, has served as a Chapter 7 bankruptcy panel trustee for the Eastern District of Missouri. Rebecca has been practicing law for more than 35 years representing debtors and creditors in Chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13. She has served as an examiner in Chapter 7 and 11 cases. Rebecca is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Business Reorganization and Consumer Bankruptcy Committees. She received her B.S. from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and her J.D. from Baylor University School of Law.
Judge Bonnie L. Clair sits on the bench of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Judge Clair previously spent many years in private practice representing creditors and debtors in bankruptcy, commercial, and consumer finance matters; she also spent time in-house at a large financial institution and served in the Attorney General’s Honors Program of the United States Department of Justice as an attorney with the Office of the United States Trustee.
Judge Clair currently serves on the Conference News and Elections Committees of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges. Before taking the bench, she served on the Region X Disciplinary Committee for the Missouri Bar, mediated and investigated proceedings for the Missouri Bar’s Fee Dispute Resolution Committee, and contributed to the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Seventh Circuit Volo updates. However, no one wants to talk about any of that once they find out that she was on Jeopardy! in 2006 and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? in 2002.
Judge Clair received her law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where she was an articles editor for the Journal of Urban and Contemporary Law (now the Journal of Law & Policy) and a national competitor in the New York City Bar Moot Court Competition. She received her undergraduate degree from Duke University, where she served on the editorial and business boards of The Chronicle, debated varsity and camped in “Tent 2” in the Krzyzewskiville line during the 1989-1990 basketball season.
Erin Edelman is a partner at Armstrong Teasdale LLP and leads the firm’s Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice. Erin represents the interests of debtors, secured lenders, unsecured creditors, and purchasers, seeking to maximize their return through chapter 11 bankruptcy or out-of-court restructuring.
Robert E. Eggmann received his Bachelor of Arts from St. Louis University in 1986 and received his Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University School of Law in 1989. Mr. Eggmann is an attorney in the St. Louis, Missouri based law firm Carmody MacDonald P.C. Mr. Eggmann practices in the fields of bankruptcy, restructuring, creditor’s rights, commercial litigation and financial transactions. He has extensive experience in the field of the representation of Chapter 11 debtors and creditors’ committees. Mr. Eggmann also serves as a Chapter 7 panel trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Illinois and a Sub Chapter V trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of Illinois.
John Hall is the Co-Chair of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group at Lewis Rice LLC. His practice focuses on business reorganizations, both in and out of court, as well as receiverships and other distressed debt situations, representing creditors, debtors, trustees, receivers, creditors committees and other parties to insolvency proceedings.
Michael is a partner at McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce, LLP where he assists in the bankruptcy representation for mortgage lenders and servicers nationwide.
He is a frequent speaker and author on various topics related to bankruptcy, and has appeared as an expert witness on behalf of mortgage servicers.
T. J. Mullin received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History, Magna Cum Laude, from St. Louis University. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa in his Junior year. He received his Juris Doctor degree from The University of Chicago Law School. He served in the U.S. Army for seven years, first as an infantry officer, and later as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General Corp, and was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal.
He opened his law office in Clayton, MO, in 1976 dealing with civil matters, such as divorces, wills, and bankruptcy, specializing in Bankruptcy only starting in 1988. He was one of the first attorneys in Missouri to advertise his services, first in print, then on radio and television. He holds the record for most Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 Bankruptcies filed in the Eastern District of Missouri. He was the first consumer debtor attorney to be honored with the Missouri Bar’s Michael Rosier Excellence in Bankruptcy Practices Award in 1997.
He is the author of nineteen books and numerous articles published in the United States, Canada, and England.
He is married to his high school sweetheart, Eleanor, who managed his law offices. They have one daughter, Catherine, and two grandchildren.
Amy Ryan is a partner in the firm’s Financial and Real Estate Services practice group with more than 20 years of experience handling real estate litigation and creditors’ rights matters.
Amy has worked on several major federal litigation cases involving complex title insurance coverage as well as a multimillion-dollar action for fraud and replevin of farm equipment and crops. Her practice often involves real estate, consumer lending, creditors’ rights and business law.
Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Amy was a shareholder and managing partner for the St. Louis office of another Missouri law firm.
Katie Spewak is a Restructuring and Insolvency/Special Situations Associate at BCLP. Katie served as a Judicial Law Clerk in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri for the Honorable Brian C. Walsh from 2023-2024. Katie received her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law.
Christian A. Stiegemeyer is the Director of Risk Management for The Bar Plan Mutual Insurance Company where he helps lawyers arrive at practical solutions to a wide variety of ethical and legal malpractice issues. He received his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law.
Bryan T. Voss is an attorney at Westbrook Law Group in St. Charles, Missouri since July 2021. He represents consumer debtors in bankruptcy. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
Brian Walsh was appointed as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri in January 2023. Before taking the bench, he practiced for more than 25 years in Atlanta and St. Louis. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy.
Dan joined the firm in May 2000 and is a Shareholder and Managing Attorney over the St. Louis, Missouri operation. He is currently licensed to practice law in Missouri and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri and the Federal District of Kansas and the Federal District of Nebraska. He obtained his B.A. in Finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1994. He obtained his law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1997.
Dan has concentrated his practice of law representing secured creditors in bankruptcy and related litigation, primarily in the Eastern District of Missouri since 1997. He is a noted speaker at various industry conferences and an author in regional and national publications.
Joseph Wilson graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1999 with a B.A. in Psychology. Mr. Wilson went on to earn his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2002. From 2003 to 2004, Mr. Wilson represented Debtors in chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy cases in the Eastern District of Missouri. Since joining the Chapter 13 Trustee’s office in 2004, Mr. Wilson has represented the Chapter 13 Trustee in the administration of chapter 13 bankruptcy cases as well as appeals to the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
