This presentation will cover the basics of drafting the initial pleadings for a minor guardianship and/or conservatorship; the standard that must be met in order to prevail in a minor guardianship hearing; who the interested parties are and which individuals need to be served; the new requirements of the criminal background check; and visitation with natural parents after guardianship has been granted.
