Description

This course will discuss the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal industry, and how smaller firms, despite fewer resources, can still meaningfully participate in DEI efforts that shape the legal profession. Rasmussen Dickey Moore recently established a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee in which our younger and more diverse attorneys took the lead to develop measurable actions toward building a more inclusive and equitable firm. We will share the lessons learned from that process in hopes of promoting diversity and DEI efforts at our peer firms to create a more representative and equitable industry across the board.

Course Focus
•    Develop an understanding of the current state of diversity in the legal industry
•    Learn why there is a need to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the industry
•    Learn what can be done at smaller firms to pursue diversity, including how to establish a Diversity Committee and set goals

Speakers:  Justin U. Ijei, Rasmussen Dickey Moore, LLC, Kansas City; Sarah Schwartz,  Rasmussen Dickey Moore, LLC, St. Louis; and Dillon Williams,  Rasmussen Dickey Moore, LLC, St. Louis
