Raymond Dake is a partner at the law firm of Siro Smith Dickson PC in Kansas City, Missouri and represents plaintiffs in employment litigation matters, including discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, and wage and hour issues, and personal injury litigation.
Brice Nengsu Kenfack is a senior associate with Shook, Hardy & Bacon, LLP, in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating from Creighton University School of Law, Brice spent two years as a law clerk to the Hon. Brian Miller in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Following his Clerkship, Brice joined Shook in September of 2016. He has a nationwide practice defending clients in product liability, construction, insurance, commercial, and general liability disputes in state and federal courts.
Daniel P. O’Donnell, Jr. litigates business and employment disputes and class actions dealing with a wide cross-section of legal issues.
Dan is deeply knowledgeable on arbitration law and has become the Firm’s expert regarding arbitration agreements. He has arbitrated numerous cases before multiple forums (like the AAA and JAMS) and is well versed in the applicable rules and procedures, which gives him an advantage over litigators who infrequently venture into arbitration.
He regularly advises clients regarding arbitration agreements and has litigated the enforceability of arbitration agreements, and class action waivers contained within them, in federal and state courts and courts of appeals. In fact, in 2017, Mr. O’Donnell joined the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law as an Adjunct Professor to teach its course on Arbitration Theory & Practice.
Prior to joining the Firm, Dan worked at national labor and employment firm representing employers in a wide variety of areas including the enforcement and defense of non-competition agreements and protection of trade secrets; defense of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims; and defense of wage and hour claims. Prior to that, he worked at a St. Louis firm handling bet-the-company litigation in a variety of areas.
While attending law school, Mr. O’Donnell received the Judge Roy W. Harper Prize for best work in Constitutional Law, the Alexander Martin Prize for best work in Evidence, the Senniger Powers Prize for best work in Copyright, and the Excellence for the Future Awards for Constitutional Law, Evidence, Copyright, and State Constitutional Law. He was also an intern for Justice Michael Wolff of the Missouri Supreme Court and an Associate Managing Editor of the Missouri Law Review.
Jerry R. Palmer Is President of Palmer Mediation LLC and serves the Greater Kansas City Area. He has mediated over 2,400 cases in all areas of Torts (Vehicular Iinjury, Products Liability, Medical and other professional liability, Intentional Torts), Contract Disputes, Business Dissolution, Construction Claims, Insurance Disputes, Statutory Liability including Patent and Trademarks, Probate and virtually any case that can be filed in a Civil Court. Paul S. Penticuff has over 25 years of experience trying cases in both state and federal courts throughout the country. His practice emphasizes product liability, complex litigation and highly regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices and aviation.
Paul serves as national trial counsel for a manufacturer of insulin pumps and handles claims, lawsuits, recalls, business disputes, contract negotiation and regulatory matters from start to finish. He also serves as national coordinating counsel for a major pharmaceutical company and recently defeated an attempt to obtain MDL certification in the gadolinium litigation.
Paul is a dynamic speaker and has made presentations to business groups and clients regarding the importance of preparing employees and management for depositions and court appearances. He has coordinated electronic document production and expert witness development for cases and claims in the U.S., U.K., E.U. and Australia. Paul has been admitted pro hac vice in dozens of state and federal courts as part of his national practice where he has successfully steered multi-million dollar claims to advantageous outcomes via dismissal, mediation and verdict. He is a regular speaker at local bar association panels regarding tort reform legislation, new developments in product liability law and winning negotiating techniques.
Robert B. Sullivan is a neutral for the U.S. District Courts of Kansas, the Western District of Missouri, and the Supreme Courts of both states. He is approved by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) as both a mediator and arbitrator for disputes between registered brokers and their clients.
