Representative Gina Mitten (D-83) represents portions of St. Louis City and St. Louis County. Ms. Mitten graduated summa cum laude from University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is a 2001 recipient of the American Mock Trial Association’s National All American Attorney award. In 2005, Ms. Mitten received her Juris Doctor degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was a primary editor of the Journal of Law and Policy and recipient of the Don Sommers Prize for Professional Responsibility (ethics). 

Before joining the House of Representatives, Representative Mitten was a member of the Richmond Heights City Council from 2004-2012. She also served on the St. Louis County Municipal League’s legislative affairs committee (2005-2010) and was a voting member of the Clayton/Richmond Heights Joint Study Committee (2005-2006). Ms. Mitten has been an ardent supporter of the Maplewood Richmond Height School District for more than fifteen years, and served on its Building Corporation from 2007 to 2018. 

In addition to her legislative duties, Representative Mitten is an attorney, focusing her practice on civil litigation and domestic relations.

Christa Moss, Missouri Bar Board of Governor for the Southern District, currently serves as a Civil Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri.  She was formerly a law Clerk for the Federal Chief Magistrate Judge, David Rush, as well as a civil defense litigator in a mid-size firm in Tulsa, OK, and an Assistant City Attorney for the Kansas City, MO, City Attorney's Office. Christa received her Bachelor’s degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Ok, and earned her J.D. from the College of William and Mary in 2012. Christa is an alumna of the Missouri Bar Leadership program and previously served on the Missouri Bar YLS Board. She is actively involved in the state and local bars as well as community activities, serving on a number of civic and non-profit boards.

Maurice, a Missouri native, is Utility Counsel for City Utilities of Springfield, Missouri, where he represents and supports all five business units, which includes electricity, natural gas, water, broadband, and public transportation. His background includes administrative and regulatory matters involving energy and gas markets and transportation, environmental regulations and land use disputes. Prior to taking the position at City Utilities, Maurice held various positions for the Department of Energy and Department of Agriculture.

Maurice and his wife Christa met at and received Bachelors degrees from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Ok. Maurice earned his J.D. at Western Michigan in 2010. Both Maurice and Christa are alumni of the Missouri Bar Leadership program and are actively involved in the state and local bars as well as community activities, serving on a number of boards and task forces. They are currently living their best stay at home pandemic life with their three year old James and their dog Jax.
