Look Out for Gen Z: Planning Ideas for These Beneficiaries


Now is time to consider Gen Z; the next generation; and their needs as part of the estate planning process. Gen Z, who comes after GenX and Millennials, is known to be pragmatic, financially sophisticated, debt adverse, charitably inclined, and entrepreneurial. Today, estate plans are designed to last beyond a single generation. Therefore, as part of implementing a client's goals, the estate plan should recognize the strengths and challenges of the beneficiaries for which the plan is designed to provide. Further, this generation is the next set of clients we will be serving, and our planning process should adapt to their expectations.
