Learn what Judge Crane means when she describes cases with kids involved as the square peg, round hole dilemma and why GALs are so important. 

Learning objectives:

• This session is meant to be a pep talk for the unsung heroes that are GALs. 
• The square peg-round hole dilemma is often used to describe a difficult task, however, in this scenario it's not the difficulty of the task that's the problem but the fact that the square peg gets destroyed in the process. 
• When we recognize the round hole to be the law, the hammer to be the court and the square peg to be the child we see the damage that can occur even, in the best of circumstances.
